Nick Bugatti has been wrestling his way around the West Coast since 2013. The man has charisma, style, skill, and the manager/partner to match. Make sure you check out his pages, and if he’s ever in your town go see him do his thing in the ring!

What’s your earliest wrestling memory?

Well when i first started becoming a fan, my earliest memory was seeing my first match ever which was the Undertaker vs JBL on an episode of Smackdown. I remember watching this and not really knowing what i was watching but i thought it was the coolest thing because i had never seen anything like pro-wrestling.

When/Where did your Pro-Wrestling Career begin?

My pro-wrestling career started in Las Vegas on June 10, 2013. I was so nervous because i had just moved from my home town of Arizona, and I didn’t know what to expect

Have you ever worked under any other alias?

When I received my first match it was in a battle royal, and I remember I had only been training for a month, and I didn’t even have a name yet. The day of the show the promoter tells me i am going to be “Slick Nick”. I wasn’t a huge fan of it, but I didn’t have many options. Soon after that, the promoter put me in a mask, and called me “Machismo #3”. I am very grateful for this because this is what gave me the chance to get more match experience, but I was just not a fan of wearing a mask. I always had a hard time seeing out of that thing

Who, or what, do you consider your biggest influence outside of wrestling?

I have to say my biggest influence outside of wrestling has to be my dad. He was the one who showed me what it means to work hard for something that you want. He is also one of my biggest supporters.

If you had to choose someone to tag with for the first time, who would it be?

If i ever get the chance, I would love to tag with the Classic Connection. If you haven’t had the chance, check them out.

Is there anything about pro-wrestling in any era that you dislike?

There are a lot of things in today’s era of pro-wrestling that i dislike. I won’t go in depth with all of them, but one in particular is the misuse of Super Kicks. I hate it so damn much. Growing up and being a fan of Shawn Michaels I thought it was one of the greatest things I ever saw. He always put meaning and detail behind it, and now I feel like it’s just a wasted move that everyone uses because it’s the “cool” thing to do. Mind you, this is just my opinion, and I am aware that there is an audience for that.

Name a wrestler who you think deserves far more respect than they currently receive…

Cut Throat Cody is a wrestler who receives a lot of respect from others, but in my opinion not enough. He is good, really good, and yes others recognize that but I don’t think they actually realize what a talent he really is. If they did he would be the face of the company right now.

How do you feel about your hair having its own Facebook Fan Page?

Hahaha I thought it was hilarious when i first found out. I hadn’t been doing Nick Bugatti that long at the time, and i was just a generic wrestler in a black singlet, so i couldn’t even believe a fan took their time to create a page for my hair. I still don’t know who it is but needless to say I was shocked.

Do you think anyone in professional wrestling has better hair than NICK BUGATTI?

I wouldn’t go as far to say “better”, but this new trainee named Brandon actually has some really nice hair. (low key jealous)

What’s the ONE match that you’ve had, and want EVERYONE to see?

Dave and Gina Mazany vs Nick Bugatti and Mazzerati and the “I Quit” Match Owen Travers vs Nick Bugatti. I know you asked for me to pick one, but I couldn’t. These were two matches that aren’t necessarily perfect, but the reaction and emotion we were able to draw from the fans felt pretty incredible. These were also two matches where I felt like I was starting to get it.

Is there anything in wrestling that you want to do more than anything else?

Before it used to be that I wanted to have match of the night, which i finally achieved when i had the “I Quit” Match. Now I would have to say being able to main event a big show.

Who is the one person in wrestling that you wouldn’t want to f*** with?

I would have to say Phil Baroni. I have probably trained with him a handful of times, really nice guy. I remember grappling with him during practice, and I could just feel that he was holding so much back. If he wanted to he could kill me.

In what other film/comic/video game universe would Nick Bugatti fit in?

I can’t really pin point one specifically, but i could definitely see Nick Bugatti being a villain in a film or a comic. If you watch any of my promos I pretty much resemble a cartoon character.

I’m going to give you some names, and I want whatever comes to your mind…

Mazzerati– Love of my life and wrestling partner

FSW– My first opportunity

Las Vegas– Very rough

Wrestlemania– An event that I one day hope to perform on

Cut Throat Cody- Mentor/ best friend

Do you have any upcoming events you’d like to let everyone know about?

I would like anyone, if they can, to make sure to check out FSW biggest show of the year… FSW 8th Anniversary show on May 20th!

Thanks to Nick for the great interview! Make sure you check him out!
